How to Setup Gmail (Google Apps) Mail Account with Apple Mail

  • Open Gmail settings, switch to Labels tab
  • Check Sent Mail, Drafts, Spam, and Trash
  • Uncheck all others
  • On OS X, configure mailbox behaviors as the following screenshot:
